Accel tops “Three Star” category in DQ-IDC Best Employers Survey 2005

Accel Frontline tops the “Three Star Category” in the DQ-IDC Best IT Employer Survey 2005. In the 2003 rankings, ACCEL stood at #20; in 2004, ACCEL climbed 10 ranks to #10, and this year, ACCEL is proud to top the 'Three Star' category.

Accel has climbed five places in terms of HR and held on to its last year's rank of #8 on employee satisfaction. Improved HR performance and satisfaction on key parameters help the organization provider maintain its progress. This performance by ACCEL is a reflection of the growth strategy the company had chalked out in the last fiscal.

 
Accel bags award at Microsoft Summit
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, August, 2005

ACCEL bagged the Regional System Builder (FY05 - South) award at the Annual Microsoft Partner Summit 2005, held between the 10th and 12th of August in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Maqbool Hassan received the award on behalf of Accel Frontline from Neelam Dhawan, Managing Director, Microsoft India.

 
Accel ranks 4 in DQCI Silver Club list

Accel Frontline climbed two notches from its ranking last year and stood 4th in the DQCI Silver Club (2005) list of Top Solution Providers in India. The DQCI Silver Club is India's prestigious listing of top distributors, solution providers and system and network providers. According to the survey, Accel's strength lies in its right mix of products and solutions offering, with expertise in Enterprise. The survey also highlighted Accel's strong service network.

 
LIC chooses ACCEL again
October, 2005

ACCEL won a Rate Contract for providing the hardware infrastructure to Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) for the sixth consecutive year. ACCEL wins back South zone as well, in addition to East and North East Zones.

ACCEL's strategy involved maximizing its existing relationship with LIC with regards to the opportunity, understanding the total size of opportunity in each of LIC's zones, decided to leverage investments (resources) made in LIC's East zone over past 3 years, launched a campaign at LIC Corporate to ensure winning East zone while convincing LIC of ACCEL's stronghold in the South.

 
ACCEL bags SBI order
September 2005

State Bank of India, Trivandrum is rolling out its core banking solution and has chosen ACCEL as its infrastructure partner. ACCEL is providing the bank with HP servers, HP Nodes, D-Link switches and other peripherals like scanners, printers and webcams. The order will be executed at over 100 locations in Kerala.

 
ELCOT awards ACCEL with prestigious orders
June 2005

ACCEL has won prestigious orders from ELCOT, the nodal IT procurement agency for the Government of Tamil Nadu. ACCEL, through this order, will be providing the IT infrastructure to

the various government departments like Treasuries Department, Teachers Training Schools, Elementary Education Department, Women's Self-Help Group Project, Poompuhar Shipping Corporation, Highways Department,

Animal Husbandry Department, Department of Horticulture, Department of Arts and Culture, Housing and Urban Development Department, TN Livestock Development Agency and Public Libraries.

ACCEL continues to be Bharti's chosen IT infrastructure partner. Recently, ACCEL bagged an order from Bharti Telesoft International Ltd for providing SunFire v440 servers for it Delhi and Chennai offices, along with Sun Gold Spectrum support.

 
ACCEL clinches Alcatel deal
September 2005

Alcatel Development India Pvt Ltd, Delhi has entrusted ACCEL with a prestigious orders for ITInfrastructure with SunFire servers. These Sun servers will be used for developing and testing its Mobile Switching Centre (MSC) software at the Alcatel Labs in Noida near Delhi.

 
ACCEL lands Tata Cummins order
June 2005

Tata Cummins has decided on an Oracle E-Business Suite for its ERP. This being a very critical system for its business, Tata Cummins needed a rugged system to run their ERP with 100% failover. ACCEL proposed a solution on SUN platform to take care of its requirement of 100% failover and 100% headroom.

The server cluster is connected to a common SUN 6130 Storage. A tape Library is also suggested for storage of data. Accel is also providing the customer with Sun Spectrum Gold support.

Accel Frontline Ltd. forms Strategic Alliance with SkyBridge Global,Inc. a leading consulting services company in the US specializing in ERP business solutions in PeopleSoft, Oracle and JD Edwards.

SkyBridge Global and Accel Frontline will establish an Offshore Solution Center offering IT and Business Process solutions to clients across USA.

Accel Frontline Ltd. will provide ERP consulting and implementation services, Post-implementation support (help desk), BPO services related to the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions on ERP system services to SkyBridge Global Inc.

 
ACCEL attains CMMI Level 5
March, 2005

Accel Frontline Ltd announced that it has been successfully appraised at Level 5 of the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Version 1.1-staged representation SCAMPI Class A for its operations. The appraisal covers ACCEL's Enterprise Software Solutions (ESS) Division, which offers custom software solutions, banking software systems and ERP package implementation solutions.
